We shuffled off (that's full speed with a toddler) for the weekend to celebrate Alan's 70^th Birthday and managed to hot some record breaking cold weather.

The weekend wasn't terribly disrupted with the trip to the hospital for Alek's ear infection.  He rallied quickly and was almost up to full speed on Sunday.

Alek charmed his grandfather pretty completely.

   
Alan & Gail enjoyed an intimate evening with friends that date back many decades.


Warren gave a moving toast to his brother.

       
Of course there was cake, and no we didn't have to call the fire department because of all the candles.


Alan gave a nice speech.


Feeding the little monster never stops.

   
We did get to Mike and Anne.  Mike demonstrates the football carry.


I don't know what happened, they just passed out..

           
We headed over to Charlene and John.  Bummer I screwed up the dates and completely surprised them.  Charlene recovered in about two seconds and put together a yummy brunch.  Meanwhile Alek terrorized the dog.  Oh yeah, she's not fat.


That sleep thing keeps creeping up on these guys..

   
Warren visited for a while, as did Bob and Eric with his family - not shown here.


We got to Mitch and Jake briefly.  But better a little than none at all.
