There has been some "noise" from various quarters that we need to get more
pictures up so people can see how Alek is faring. Thus we oblige the ones
we love..

Chantal is an accomplished Mom and knew just what to do.

Melanie has a gift with babies and is signed up to be the first golf coach.

Nancy took to Alek, and vice versa, very quickly. Of course that is the reaction
I had to Nancy, could it be genetic?

Lisa likes babies a lot, especially other people's. Lisa and will share
the hedonistic training - We all must play to our strengths.. :-)

Veronika sees a glimpse of half her future. She delivers in December,
two boys.

The other Grandparents visited and bonded.

Our friend Phil gave this to us as a wedding present. We had no idea
that it had such magic powers.

Caroline's brother's family came to see Alek. Karen was here too, but I
didn't get a good picture of her or Jeff with Alek.

Alek joined the tribe!! He joins all the sons of Abraham. I would
be underestimating immensely to say that Caroline took it much harder than Alek
did.

Alek's Ultimate Cool Great Grandma came to visit for a while. Alek
seems to have a very good effect on her..

Alek took his first bath and seemed to be OK with it.

Alek's Grandma had a "festive" hat which he wore with aplomb.

As we made our way through the holidays, Alek had to celebrate the occasion
with some festive costumes.

At Caroline's birthday he was still the center of attention. A bunch of
Caroline's birthday presents had a very Alek focus.

Then we went to NY to make sure Charlene got properly married. Alek was
enjoying the affair and all the attention. But he did take a little nap
during some of the festivities, and it was a complete pass-out. No, he's
just got "milk coma", not drunk on champagne.

Alek got to meet his cousins, one of which shares this photo, and he got to
meet his other Uncle Eric.

I think the NY trip took more out of Caroline than Alek, as displayed here
after we got home.

Aek is getting bigger. He's about 13 pounds in these photos. We
refer to the second picture as the Pensive Buddha pose.

Alek followed in the parents, grandparents, and great grandparents footsteps
by protesting the Iraq war. he had his requisite tie-dye, and his protest
puppy outfit for warmth. Then we visited with Tet and he wore out.
Thus we see The Lip. Mick Jagger doesn't hold a candle to this lip..

Alek was a fuming mad protest
dragon for the latest Peace Rally in San Francisco. |
Alek takes everything in stride.
As long as he's well fed, he's a happy guy. |
Afterwards we spent some time
with Toss & Chantal at their place. Alek eventually wore out and we
had to go. He only lasts so long.. |
