Alek turned 5 all of a sudden.  It surprised us too.  Now he's a Kindergartner and he's only been the Principals office 3 times in the first couple months of school.

We had a party at the Coyote Point Museum.  A bunch of kids and their respective parents got together to see the animals in the zoo, eat cake, and check out the other animal exhibits.

       
There were some live weasels that could be petted.
And there were lots of cool bones of local animals to check out.
But don't forget the favorite - Bugs!! - Loads and loads of bugs nicely displayed with a handy magnifying glass to see them in more detail.


Everyone got to have a tattoo of their own if they wanted one, or two, or in some cases a lot of them.  But sometimes Alek wasn't convinced Mommy was doing it right..

           
We had to have a cake with bugs on it.
And all the candles got blown out in one shot.
And then everyone came back from the animal scavenger hunt and had cake.
