Our dear friends June & Dave and Nancy threw a Baby Shower for Squirt and us on September 15, 2002.  And of course, it couldn't be a "normal" shower.  It was coed and then some.

It was the best baby shower I have ever been to, and almost the only one at that.  Even the other guys, who all had reservations about attending such an event assured me that it was fun.

Things started out fairly normally, except for the fact that a bunch of guys were there aside from Roy and myself.

Then this guys shows up wearing a diaper and a bonnet.  And a none too clean one at that, to make it look more realistic - So I was told.

Caroline and I get placed in chairs facing this motley inquisition and we all played a sort "ten best" list of questions for The Baby Game!.  Like...  What is the trait most likely to be inherited from Caroline?  Ans.:  Complete Silliness!!!

The teams were divided into the Bonnets and the Bibs.  I think the Bonnets won.  June handed out prizes to the winning team.  The Pooping Pig was a favorite..

Vivian and Tam joined us, and Caroline's Mom made her own style statement with that smashing bonnet.

Brian and Tet got into the baby thing in their own way.  And of course there was cake to commemorate the event.

And then there were the gifts..
As you can see, given the Halloween emphasis of our relationship and the arrival of Squirt, some people thought costumes were in order.  And we got a few.
Fortunately Shelly made a terrific quilt for the baby that may well end up hanging on the wall rather than getting soiled by Squirt.  We'll be starting the poor kid's therapy fund at the same time we start the college fund.
We received LOTS AND LOTS of stuff!!  Way too much to be listed or shown here.  But these particular gifts deserved special mention given how special they are..

Caroline shows us that even highly pregnant and stone cold sober her silly streak is unabated.

Afterwards we played that old favorite Baby Shower game - Guess What's In The Diaper?  Judy played emcee with our host Grungy Baby Boy.
