Caroline had another birthday.  And, the Gentleman in me cannot reveal her age.  But, lets just say it's somewhere between Alek's age and dirt. J But I digress..

This party, thrown by June & Dave, was a combination holiday and birthday party.  This is done because Caroline doesn't like to be the center of attention, and prefers small groups.  This is a serious limitation for those of us trying to celebrate a popular person like Caroline.

   
Mike and Nancy arrived ready for a serious celebration.

   
Caroline gets a big hello from Dave.  Then Alek and Dave head for the bar.


Alek was in the bag for a while, but he fought his way out..

   
June & Dave got these stylish hats, and an updated version of the "Who Let The Dogs Out!" toy.  It's sure to annoy a whole new group at Dave's office!


Dave will now be lucky.  He knows the secret lucky hand wave al la Chinatown.

   
Nancy got a new elixir for passion.  I think she's really happy about it - but then so is Mike!


Mike got his own personal disco ball.  Now he can take the party anywhere!


Alek got a new accessory.  Apparently he's the same size as June's cat, and was able to borrow some formal wear.


Alek liked the mechanical cat.  He named it "Eyow", like all the rest of the cats he talk to.

       
Alek discovered the "Bush in the box".  It surprised him, but then he got this uncontrollable urge to strangle it.  Go figure..

Dave got his first really appropriate pool bar decoration.  Now all he needs is the pool bar to get finished!

   
To go with the new poolside BBQ, Dave got some serious cooking implements.
Now with his new BBQ tools and his lucky wave, he can cook anything!


And since we were on that Chinatown kick, Dave got his Ninja throwing knife.  So now he can cut up the steaks, at the new BBQ, in his cool hat, from across the patio!  What a guy!!

   
Oh yeah, this was a birthday party for Caroline too!
Alek was very helpful opening presents.  Even with one hand tied up with a sippy cup!

       
There was the requisite "Death By Chocolate" cake.  Very very very good!!
Alek helped blow out the candles.


And then we all jumped into the hot tub.  Alek got a big kick out of it too.  After all, he does take swimming lessons..


At the end of the evening, someone just wore out.  But, the true party animal that he is, he passed out right in the middle of everyone in full sprawl.
