After our wonderful four days off in the countryside of Alsace, Germany and Switzerland
we got back to Grenoble during a scorcher of a day. And, coupled with the
fact that that incredible pile of French engineering that I rented, you know,
the one without the working AC, left us pretty toasty by the time we got
back. So, we decided we had to repair to the cafes to return our mind and
spirits. And of course, they did.
We managed to find a mid-eastern place for dinner. We just needed to
have something quick and uncomplicated. After all those gourmand feasts
we'd been having lately, something a little mundane was in order.
Then we went out for some serious cafe sitting and people watching.
Grenoble provided some delightful entertainment on all counts.
And then on the way home, we ran across this slightly modified STOP
sign. We aren't sure what it means. But, we expect that it will show
up in some national museum in the next twenty years and we'll be able to say we
were there at the discovery of a great new art trend - or not..
