Greg's 40th!
Home Page Next Level Up

It finally happened, I crossed over to the other half of my life.  Caroline threw a really nice party for me.  We played a bunch of volleyball all afternoon and then went to a local microbrew for munchies and suds, and a few presents.

These are just a few of the people that helped me into the next half of my life.  Thank you one and all, for everything, and Robin for the dancing hamster..

As is proper for one turning 40 I had a sore muscle in my back right from the start of the day.  Fortunately, Tet has magic hands and could help me out a bit.
Denise has a terrific laugh, and Dan appreciates everything she does no matter what.
Nancy was able to join us and regale us with stories from the latest of her life's doings.

Sophia was there with her 8 month old giving Caroline tips for our upcoming delivery.
We had two nets running all afternoon.
Satish just got off a plane, but came over anyway.  Now that's fortitude!

John was giving some lessons on the court.  He was showing us how the game can really be played.
Pete was being guarded by the dog.  :-)
Brian was also showing us how the game can be played at a higher level.

Dan and Terry came, but I wish I had a picture of Terry in that terrific red dress!
John (next pic), Barb and Adriana flew in from AZ, and what a great surprise that was!
Larry flew in from Scotland, but the main draw was Lisa, no doubt about it..

My in-laws came for the party, and Lisa chatted with them.
Naoko and David joined us for the party.
Joy, Lynn, and Tasha made the trek from the other side of the bay.

Nancy and her Mom, Mike and Pete helped me get over the hump.
Colleen and Steve helped make sure that 40 won't hurt too much.

Paul and Linda came to celebrate.  Linda hobbled in having just completed some serious knee surgery.
And my Aunt Verna and Uncle Bob came up to see me into the new decade.  BTW, that shirt was a gift from Lisa who insisted that I wear it for the evening.

Dave was testing me to make sure that I had what it takes to be 40.
Mike and Mel were there too.
And lest I forget all the tasteful and deeply meaningful gifts I got, like this one.  Caroline specified in the invitations "mean or embarrassing" gifts only.

And that most wonderful of wives, Caroline, even made me a cake.
