We went to Club Med in Ixtapa Mexico to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Alan & Gail's marriage.

Mostly we spent a lot of time at the beach or the pool.  But there were some other diversions..

Alek made a friend on the plane on the way down.
Unfortunately she didn't speak any English, which was a surprise to Alek.

Alek spent a lot of time with Sabrina in the pool.

Alek figured out the frozen yogurt machine pretty quickly.  Fortunately his Grandpa found the chocolate syrup!
He was equally tuned into the never-ending supply of strawberry daiquiris.

Mara, Sabrina, and Jadyn show off their first brush with tropical sun.

Alek bonded with all his cousins, sometimes driving them crazy, sometimes being very entertaining.  And they got a chance to see what it might be like to have a very energetic little brother.

Alek found a salamander.  Unfortunately his tail "broke" while being captured.

There was a trapeze setup available.  Alek and the girls all took a turn flying and doing tricks.

Caroline and Alek wanted to get close to the Dolphins for a while. And they did!

Eric Dolphin Video Melinda Dolphin Video One of the final tricks done by the Dolphins is to have two Dolphins stick their noses under each foot and propel a person out of the water.
Here you see Melinda, Eric, and Mara just before the Dolphins let them fall back into the water.

The kids watched the sun go down after another perfect day of beach, pool, and eating.

Somehow there always seemed to be a balloon around for Alek to take back to the room.

How can you go to Mexico and not get your hair braided and beaded?

This is the last day and our departing shots.  The second picture was used for the 50th Anniversary Card.
