Caroline and I, and another 70-some odd people went to Jackson Wyoming to ski and carouse.  A healthy amount of both was accomplished.  Here are some pics to illustrate what we did.

Jackson Hole is the entire valley that is bounded by the Tetons, Wind River, and I forget the one to the south.  Thus it's literally a "hole".  Jackson is the primary town in the "hole".  If you want to read a little more about it, you can get a more in depth story here.

Thanks to expedition photographer extraordinaire Dan Heller for the additional images.

We flew with about 40 other people in the Crash & Burn Ski Club.  And they have their little rituals to entertain the flight crew on take off.  We knew it was working when the crew couldn't finish their safety spiel because they were cracking up too much.

Caroline and I enjoy the mountain

The skiing at Jackson was the steepest and longest that Caroline and I had ever experienced.  It was very exhilarating, and the conditions were fantastic.  Here we are at mid mountain with part of Jackson Hole spread out behind us.

I get to play tourist again

Dan caught the antler arch as only a real professional can.  But Caroline got me to stand under one of the arches too.  The antlers come off every year and are collected by the locals.  So don't start thinkin' all these antlers represent dead Elk.

This is most of the crew.  They look pretty harmless here, but wait 'til the lights get low..

Mike marks the proposal spot

This is The Spot!.  This is where Mike asked Nancy to marry him.  She did say "Yes", and they both had really silly big grins on for the rest of the trip.  You know, the kind that don't come off with water, or even with a chisel.
