We spent Mother's Day 2006 with Caroline's family.  It was the normal routine of fine dining, good conversation, and thoroughly enjoyable beach time.

There is something about celebrating Mother's Day with Grandma that really appeals to Alek.

               
Running through the wash on the beach is a never-ending source of amusement.

       
Running ahead of the wave wash is a special skill..

   
A large piece of Kelp can also provide lots of entertainment.

   
Stomping on a jellyfish or playing with a strand of seaweed is lots of fun.

       
Sarah and Roy show their Frisbee skills on the beach.

   
Sometimes just gazing out to sea or digging in the sand can be fun.

   
There are lots of little crabs to try and catch in the tidal pools.  Even Mommy likes to catch critters.


No family event is complete without a great dinner at Don's.  The fact that Alek was worn out from the beach wasn't so bad either.
