Caroline broke her foot while playing volleyball.  Of course, it has to happen just before we are due to leave for our European trip...

Caroline did get plenty of attention from the cat who was only too happy to have someone pet him all day long.

The phone got plenty of use since Caroline was pretty immobile the first couple of days.

And Nancy came over to commiserate and recuperate from her knee surgery.  Do you think we're getting older..?

This is the current state of affairs.  it looks pretty gruesome as the blood comes to the surface and makes all those colors.  The toenails are left over from our Cinco de Mayo festivities.  And the swelling is coming down. 

She'll be able to walk around Europe by Monday with a pack fer' sure..
