Caroline and I arrived in Sweden in the morning after one of those very uneventful flights that are always terrific because there are no surprises.  At least for us, that's the way we prefer to fly and SAS came through perfectly.  Since we had to catch a 7:30 AM flight (terribly early for us - we're on vacation after all) we had to start at about 5:00 AM to get from Amsterdam out to Schipol, etc.  Fortunately this was the only early flight on the whole trip.  Caroline is really the best travel agent I've ever had.

We were coming to Stockholm to see Christine.  I usually refer to her as our favorite Viking Princess.  Christine is one of those wonderful effervescent personalities that light up a room and your day.  She is truly a wonderful human being with a serious streak of delight running through her from head to toe.

We met Christine on our trip to the Galapagos and have been friends ever since.  Christine lives in Uppsala, which is where we went after she picked us up at the airport.

Christine has a great little house, perfect for our stay.  She is also a great tour guide driving us all around and making sure we see all the sights.

Christine is also a gardener, but since this is pretty far north, you need a green house to make anything come out really well.
