We joined the Crash & Burn Ski Club again this year to test our skiing mettle at Telluride, CO. All the images are links to higher resolution images. Here are some pics to show some of the activities and people with whom we enjoyed the mountains. First off we had to get there. That entailed getting to SFO very early in the AM, and going through all the check-in and security noise. Fortunately Crash & Burn has masterful coordinators and things went without a hitch. Then we ended up flying to Denver, changing planes and flying to Montrose on one of those puddle jumpers that couldn't fit all our skis. Not to worry, they showed up around midnight that night. Tragedy averted! The bus ride from Montrose to Telluride is about an hour. This was our crew on the bus. It was the first time that I remembered to take any pics at all. It was a very early departure for me. Our trip munchkin seemed to take to the bus trip pretty well too. After we got settled some of us decided to go out for dinner to Limeleaf, a nice restaurant in town. Mikey was especially pleased about the quality of the sundae. The next night was the Mexican dinner night with the whole crew. I ran around and tried to get pics of all the tables. But this crew never sits still very long so I think I missed a few people. It was a fine dinner, most notable for the free flowing Margaritas. These are the rest of the table shots from the Mexican dinner. And of course Nancy was coordinating and playing head Counselor admirably. |
